I Want To Do Somthing In The Fashion Or Art Industry But My Options Are Letting Me Down?

Ive resolute a few months ago that I really wanted to do somthing in the art or fashion industry. But I dont think I can because the options I chose for my GCSEs are from start to finish different and has nothing to do with neither art or fashion. Is there hope?

art based courses and also art based industry are more concerned about a portfolio of work showing what you can do and how well, rather than a portion of paper saying "yes you got this grade so you can do this" without any evidence to back it up.
When I studied my gcse's i did take art but failed as i had no tribulation for the subject, the only art i had interest in was photography which i had done since i was in year 9 in my own time
when college came around as i only had 2 GCSE's at grade c i couldnt do a lot of things but i went for an evaluate for photography at the art college near me anyway, he loved my portfolio of work but seeing as i didnt get 4 GCSE's i had to writing-room a course called First Diploma in Art & Design which tought you the basic fundamentals of art and was indeed enjoyable, the qualification from that was equal to 4 GCSE's and it gave me a stronger portfolio of toil, during that time i decided i wanted to study Graphic Design as opposed to photography after that year extended course had finished.
now im progressing onto uni in september, my gf has applied at uni to study english data and for her replies none of them have asked her to go for an interview, they have just said aslong as she gets unchanging grades shes allowed on the courses
for my chosen uni's each one of them has asked to have an interview with me to basically show them my portfolio of vocation
so the moral of this lengthy life story is basically, if you want to pursue an arts based execution after school, find some near by colleges which teach arts and give the leaders of the course a give someone a jingle, explain the situation and if theyre helpful they will give you an idea or what to build a portfolio on depending what you would like to seek the hand of in the future.
a good idea though would be to keep it broad, create a sketchbook of drawings, paintings, muddled media (images made from using random materials.. EG: dirt, old food, torn up the religious ministry, wax etc), using different objects to draw with such as a stick from a tree and ink, using leaves to run off collages etc and also photography is a popular art which can be expressive without much time payed into one photograph

I dont viewpoint where in the world it is, i just dont like where i am now, i go to college in the uk and its uninteresting and has no inspiration at all!

If u have GCSEs and have a portofolio of art/conception work u've done, u can apply to do a Foundation degree in art that takes 1 to 2 years. Then u can specialise in an art or target degree. Doing a foundation in art helps u find out where ur interests lie and u usually have a lot of freedom with ur business. Otherwise if u have a good portfolio maybe try and find some work experience You can also look into doing a Diploma in a aim subject.
