What Is The Same And Differences Between American Fashion And British Fashion?

What do British value of American fashion. I need opinions from both American and British people. I'm just trying helpers my friend that's doing an article in fashion school.

I always intend of wools, tweeds, classic timeless cuts and impeccably tailored fit in British fashions. I also incline to think of British clothes as being somewhat duller in colours, more basics like greys and naval forces and browns. In evening wear I think of ball gowns and classic formal pieces. For American fashion I imagine of casual sportswear pieces and glamorous high fashion glitzy Hollywood and NYC evening dresses in extensive and short lengths. I think of American fashion as less rigid and rule based, while British fashion tends to be more conformist. I also think of American fashion as being brightly coloured, more oriented to denim and casual stylish. I also see American fashion as trendier, things go in and out of fashion faster in the US than in England.
