Question About FIT Fashion Design Portfolio; Bringing In Garments?

This cast doubt is for people who have already applied to FIT's Fashion design major, and already submitted their portfolios
Im applying to FIT this decline, and I know its required to bring garments that you have sewn
Im just wondering since I can knit, if they solicitude at all about knitted garments? Im not talking about like simple shawls, or draped sweaters, but like cardigans or sleeved garments.
Would they caution at all to see that? Or are they simply looking at my sewing construction skills.
I attended FIT and when they ask you to yield b set forth in stuff that you have SEWN that's exactly what they need to see.
They generally don't care about lil old ladies knitting substance (joke)
Just take anything that you have actually sat down on a sewing machine and sewn yourself - even if it's a hanky!!
But paleeze don't take your knitted impedimenta!!! They want to see your sewing skills.

So Sunny shades and print to go for.
Unisex is the writing that is in.
Colours to experement would be Golden Yellow the colour of the sunflower will make a big hit if it for Brunch. Purple for Evening fatigue with knee lenght for wear. sleeveless and straps are things to flaunt. Gowns and dream of dress are a big NO unless it is a sarong or wrap around. Enjoy the sun and the evening breeze in flowing materials that are manageable on the skin and yet flattering. Kid too can ape the adults but cut the detailing.
do not forget your funky head along, be it scafs, hats or fashionalble umberellas if it is the outdoors you are going to spend you just the same from time to time . Fancy eyewear is a must for all your three catagories.

As I identify there are sewing courses when we do Fashion based courses.
In point of fact, many fashion designers do sew their own clothing. Some fashion designers create their clothing ideas by sewing them first as opposed to of drawing a design. Many of the famous ones have the option of having their interns do the sewing but most of them still sew their designs to ease them visualize the clothing/fabric. I think it would be a cool remember for you to get in touch with the industry and show your designs (if or when you draw them).

I have ten fashion illustrations of dresses and would like to get them made into ten samples, are there any places in the UK that can do that? Thanks you.
You can either find a seamstress or learn how to sew yourself. A well-behaved seamstress would be able to look at your drawing, talk with you about it, and create it.
