What Inspired Fashion Trends Before Movies, Television, And Music? |
Nov 12, 2006 by Silver | Posted in Fashion & Accessories
Most of today's fashion trends seem to be inspired by Hollywood celebrities, movies, goggle-box, and musicians.
What inspired fashions, prior to the mid-to-late1800s, before the invention of movies, tv, and latest music?
Was it possibly the stageshows of the day, as well the wealthy, and royalty?
Textiles and fabrics have also always inspired fashion and fuelled creativity. Eternal fabrics such as lace, silk etc date back earlier than the 1800's. Arguably fashion is a customary art form. Example ; the asian geisha girls and the history behind the komono. Many cultures predate hollywood fashion trends with their own societal fashion needs and wants.

Want To Publish My Own Fashion Designs? |
Oct 25, 2009 by ANNI | Posted in Fashion & Accessories
I fancy to publish a book with my own designs of fashion garments and costumes. I am residing in india. How much do they pay and would I get royalty whenever they advertise another print. Whom do I contact? How much do they pay?
Publishing companies now have all the resources to promulgate photo books with the same productivity and efficacy as that of regular black and white books you see in corporeal bookstores. Considering the fact that most books are in full color, you should choose a publishing company whose regulations’s are of the highest quality, bar none.
Considering also that your book of fashion would be like a magazine - only better, you might desideratum to find a publisher who truly boasts of their book’s top quality as your book is printed on acid-loosen 50lb library-edition paper. That alone can give your book a longer shelf life and substantial pages.
The difference with self-publishing is that you happen to send in your materials to the publisher and they will do all the travail for you depending on which program you are on. Publishing packages are very affordable and investing on getting your order published is a good start. It is best if you send in the entire manuscript and should not sweat bullets about protection because publishers have an agreement to not use your material without your consent. Whenever a book sells, you will be given a part of it - that's your royalty. :)
Best of luck!
