I'm Into The 17 Th Century Style-kinda I Was Wandering Where Can I Get Clothes Like That This Days? |
Dec 03, 2007 by roxy07 | Posted in Fashion & Accessories
any data on this style will help
Survey out Renaissance Magazine. The Renaissance Store is good. Also a lot of Goth type stores excite this style of clothing - such as Hot Topic used to, but are more into punk styles now. You can also try Dark Side of the Net. Deathly Rose in the UK is awesome, but I don't know where you are located...but check them out. Hope this helps...

Where Can I Find An Affordable Mid To Late 19th Century Suit? |
Nov 29, 2006 by JohnGalt | Posted in Fashion & Accessories
I am participating in a Public War ball, and I have to find a suit that is appropriate to the time period. I have been searching online to find one, but they seem to all be either very dear or just the basic patterns with no materials. Where would I be able to find a suit that would fit the ball, preferably civilian but dialect mayhap military, that is of the mid- to late-18th century style? Thanks.
Is there either a community drama or historical society in your area? Possibly you would be able to rent or borrow it.
If you can sew - I in I saw patterns for all types of old style uniforms etc. I do not know which pattern company. Just compare arrive under Butterick Patterns and that will lead you to the site.
