I bought a few coddle doll dresses from Kohls yesterday and I want to wear them as long shirts with unenlightened jeans...would that be cute?? It looked cute when I tried them on last night, but Don't want to trek around looking like a dork! lol

They are hunger like a dress though. The dresses come down past my fingers BTW
Oh. My. God. They are resplendent!! I gasped when i saw them, i almost sucked in a fly! lol
Hey, I'm on the plus size too, I know where you're coming from.
They would look HOT over jeans. Privately I don't like to wear leggings with short tops, they must cover my ass lol. But maybe you've got a absolutely cute ass and can pull it off!
Youu could even get away with wearing them over a medium length skirt. Candidly, you've got nothing to worry about, they'd look cute with almost anything ;)
Why Do Some People Laugh And Put Down Others Who Experiment With Fashion/dress Up, Take Risks? Etc?
Sep 05, 2009 by nick cave | Posted in Fashion & Accessories
Today I was wearing a disastrous Ed Hardy shirt and had that whole punk thing going on, but I'm also 27. But I can get away with it, I indicate..in our culture even grandmas wear outlandish stuff and I don't think I'm too old to be wearing clothes for younger people, but supererogatory to say I ran into someone I went to school with and she just looked at me and laughed.
I mean, then I had the times when I grew my plaits longer, and people thought THAT was weird. Then when I dolled up in really expensive neiman marcus clothes, and looked very warm-hearted, like a model, I had some dude who was making fun of me calling me a trashy european mock-up, or whatever.
Is most of this jealousy or them just making comments because they think I'm trying too hard, or is it because to them i look insane or like a poser?
I mean, it's just ONE shirt, and ONE outfit...I have hundreds more in my closet, so why do people have to conclude you based on how you looked on that ONE day.
Big deal I was wearing an ed hardy shirt and I have light blonde ringlets, which is bleached. so what? I like the look currently.
Some people just roll their eyes at me.
I don't get it.
now granted, ed sturdy , or the whole "goth" look or even the punk look, or anything un-mainstream, isn't verbatim the the most classy and best image you want to put forth , but I don't think people deprivation to laugh at you.
I'm still 27,that's not over the hill yet. Heck, Britney is my age,...if she wore an ed sturdy shirt ( and she does have bleached hair at times as well),...no one would really say anything, it's to be expected.
But yet when like us for the most part guys do it...people laugh or think it's outrageous and weird and just make up we're total freaks or whatever.
Celebs aren't the only one who can play around with their image and afford those clothes. Others can too....
sooooooooooooooo what's the big administer?
Should we all just dress age appropriate and boring and dress in black and just blend in?
Something about me just rubs people off the abominable way and I'm not sure what it is.
I believe it's my risk taking about how I look and present myself.I think it's f'in Imperturbable. others dont.
I mean, what, just b/c i'm an average guy, not famous, I should suddenly dedicate my whole closet to the GAP?
GET Valid!
Not definitely an answer, just waxing poetic and remembering one of my icons of individual assertion, someone who wasn't afraid to be different. He would have been 63. Freddie Mercury of Queen, of certainly. What he taught us:
We are all unique individuals, some choose to deny who they really are deep also gaol. conformity sucks. Never conform. It's the people who challenged the status quo and who shook off the bonds of conformity who are the ones who changed the great.
The hardest thing to be is different. It takes courage and strength. Being the same is easy. being a sheep requires no scheme, no courage. sheep don't like when someone is not a sheep. It reminds them that they too have options, options they are to frightened to explore. When you think of it, from the time we are children we are brainwashed into believing that conformity is superlative, anyone who deviates from the norm is punished. Any square pegs must be turned into round pegs. And when all the dangerous round pegs see a square peg, they remember what it was like when they didn't conform, before the perception was washed. But do they reclaim their true identity? nope, it's easier to try and put down the unique singular.
Be yourself, in reality it's all that you can be. The others out there wish they had your courage. Since they can't bring themselves up, they try to bring you down.
If Freddie Mercury were still jumping he would be 63. He always had the courage to stand out from the crowd, to be unique, to be different. Remember that. All of us who defend agaist conformity must remeber that.
